What is low back pain?

Low back pain refers to discomfort in the low back that occurs due to a mechanical issue in your spine, muscles and/or supporting structures. When one or more of these structures fail to do their job properly, it causes other structures to take over and become overworked, eventually leading to discomfort.

What causes low back pain?

There are many causes of low back pain. Some include:

  • Repetitive stress or overuse

  • Muscle spasms
