What is mechanical neck pain?

Mechanical neck pain is discomfort in your neck that is caused by a mechanical issue in your spine, muscles and/or supporting structures. When one or more of these structures fail to do their job properly, it causes other structures to take over and become overworked, eventually leading to discomfort.


What causes mechanical neck pain?

There are many causes of mechanical neck pain, some include:

  • Pain radiating into the shoulder, arm, forearm or hand

  • Headaches/Migraines 

  • Muscle spasms
